3D Printed Vibrosword DIY Kit

Edges are modeled blunt for a con-safe finished product.
The sword has a few possible options. A wide hilt option that is printed with a textured grip, and a tapered option. The tapered option is the better of the 2 if you plan on doing any sort of grip wrap on the finished product.
Parts are designed with a 0.25" (6mm) channel for a dowel to help stiffen the print. Of the swords that I've assembled so far, a wooden dowel seems to work better than a steel dowel. Steel adds a lot of weight and can cause separation between the joined parts. Edges that contact each other are beveled so that they'll take filler better during assembly. Due to support and raft settings, pieces will likely have one edge that is rougher than the rest. I try to make sure that edge is the flattest so that it can easily be sanded or filled to flatten.
Overall length is about 39.5" (1003mm). Swords are printed at 0.2 layer height out of PETG material for added durability. Raw print colors may vary, but will typically be silver or black.
This Vibrosword is designed to be a prop only. Like all 3D printed items, it will not be durable enough to duel with, so please treat it accordingly.
